Peter Christen Asbjornsen, born on January 15, 1812, in Christiania (now Oslo), Norway, was a Norwegian folklorist and co-author of the famous collection of fairy tales, “Norske Folkeeventyr.” Asbjornsen’s writing style is deeply rooted in Norwegian folklore, preserving and popularizing traditional tales. He primarily wrote in Norwegian.
