Lucy Maud Montgomery (L.M. Montgomery, 1874–1942) was a Canadian author best known for her novel “Anne of Green Gables” and its sequels. Her stories about the imaginative and spirited Anne Shirley have delighted readers of all ages. Montgomery’s works celebrated the beauty of Prince Edward Island and the trials and joys of childhood.
